United
Dairy Women...on
a milk mission!
United
Dairy Women was founded June 2005 as an organization
dedicated to promoting agriculture and the agricultural
industry as it relates to dairy. We present agriculture
to our communities in a positive manner through educational
programs and by supporting local charities that involve
children and nutrition. We extend membership to any
person who is sincerely interested in helping promote
a positive image for the agricultural industry as it
relates to dairy.
We host
three annual events which are Milk Lover's Ball held
February 7th, Doug & Debbie Idsinga Memorial Golf
Tournament to be held August 8th and DairyFest which
will be held June 27th and will feature Sammy Kershaw.
We are also involved in local events held by each non-profit
organization which support children and nutrition.

Sponsors
UDW

Thanks
to our outstanding sponsors and everyone who participated
in this event each year we have been able to donate
over $25,000 back to the community in youth projects.
The projects have included bleachers at the Roosevelt
County Fairgrounds for the 4-H program, and a pavillion
for Portales summer softball leagues... all donated
in the name of Doug & Debbie Idsinga. What a great
honor!
We hope
for this year to be just as successful as it has been
in the past and look forward to seeing you all there.

From Our
President
Hello Ladies,
I am happy to report that Milk Lover's Ball was a complete
success once again! The Milk Lover's Ball Committee
really out did themselves this year. It was truly a
special night. There were close to 500 people in attendance.
The food was better than it has ever been, the decorations
were phenomenal, the music was great and everyone looked
beautiful. Thanks to the generous donations from our
sponsors, contributors and ticket sales we were able
to raise close to $40,000 this year for charity. That
is astonishing! We most certainly surpassed our goal
of supporting 3 area children's homes with 3 dairy products
a day for the next year. This will allow us to do even
more this year with special needs within our communities.
There aren't enough words to express my gratitude to
each and everyone for your continued support! Special
congratulations go to Ryan Best & Francisco Rivera
who each received a $2500.00 UDW Scholarship to pursue
a higher education.
Many Moos!
